Non-Resident Consultant Forms

Non-Resident Consultant Practice in Nevada

Psychologists approved to practice in Nevada as Non-Resident Consultants may provide services of limited duration and responsibility only, and solely in consultation with an inviting Nevada-licensed psychologist.

Permissible services include, but are not limited to:

  • Testifying as an expert witness in a court proceeding

  • Conducting a one-time evaluation for a specific purpose, such as:

    • A court proceeding, or

    • Preparation of a presentence report

Psychologists approved as Non-Resident Consultants may not engage in:

  • Ongoing evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment services

  • Psychotherapy

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services


Application to Practice as a Non-Resident Consultant

To apply to practice in Nevada as a Non-Resident Consultant, applicants must complete and submit the Non-Resident Consultant Application to the Board office along with a $100 non-refundable application fee.
